WiRē – WildfireResearch’s own Patty Champ is the keynote speaker at the 2018 Colorado Wildland Fire Conference. Patty is a scientist at the USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station in Fort Collins, CO. Over the past fifteen years she has focused on economic issues related to wildfire such as the economic costs of wildfire smoke exposure, the effects of wildfire risk on home sales prices, and wildland-urban interface homeowners’ risk mitigation behaviors.
